Privacy Policy

1. General Provisions

1.1. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter — the Policy) explains, in an accessible form, what personal data is processed when using the MeteoCare.RU mobile application for Android and iOS (hereinafter — the Application), the official website at https://meteocare.ru/, and the server interface at https://api.meteocare.ru/.

1.2. The Application provides weather and geomagnetic information, general recommendations, and tools for keeping a wellbeing diary. No registration, account, or user profile is created.

1.3. The Policy has been developed with regard to Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 "On Personal Data" (Russian Federation). The Personal Data Processing Rules constitute the complete document setting out the Operator's policy on the processing of personal data.

1.5. Consent to data processing for personalized advertising is a separate document, published at: https://meteocare.ru/personal-ads-consent

1.6. The operating system's geolocation access permission and the choice of advertising mode are granted by the User separately. Declining geolocation does not prevent manual city selection, and declining personalization does not restrict access to the Application's functions.

1.7. This translation is provided for convenience. The Russian-language text of this Policy is legally binding; in the event of any discrepancy between this translation and the Russian version, the Russian version prevails: https://meteocare.ru/privacy.

2. Information about the Operator

3. What Data Is Processed

3.1. To provide the Application's core network functions, the following may be processed:

• the Application installation's unique identifier (UUID);
• the device's precise or approximate coordinates after the system permission has been granted, or the city selected by the User;
• the identifier of the selected city;
• the platform, the Application version, the build number, and the distribution channel;
• the IP address, the date and time of the request, the type of operation requested, technical network-interaction parameters, error messages, and security events.

3.2. To display advertising and record advertising events, the following may be processed:

• the IP address and information about the network connection;
• information about the device, the operating system, and the Application version;
• information about the advertising unit, impressions, clicks, and other interactions with advertising;
• the advertising mode selected by the User.

The advertising identifier and other identifiers used for advertising personalization, as well as the use of the technical data listed above for personalization purposes, are permitted only where the User has given a separate Consent.

3.3. When contacting support, the following may be processed: email address, name, the content of the inquiry, information about the issue, device model, operating system and Application version, screenshots, and other materials voluntarily submitted by the User.

3.4. The Operator does not request passport or biometric data. The User should not send diary entries, health information, or third parties' personal data to support unless required by law. Excessive information received inadvertently is not used for support purposes and is deleted or masked where possible.

4. Wellbeing Diary Data

4.1. Diary entries, including information about blood pressure, pulse, blood sugar level, well-being, notes, and custom indicators, are created and stored on the User's device.

4.2. Diary entries are not transmitted to the MeteoCare.RU server database, are not linked by the Operator to the installation UUID, are not used by the Operator for advertising, analytics, or profiling, and are not disclosed by the Operator to third parties.

4.3. The User independently manages diary entries, their deletion, synchronization, and backup using the tools of the Application and the device's operating system.

4.4. Deleting the Application may not automatically delete backup or synchronized copies created by operating system tools. The User manages such copies independently.

5. Purposes and Legal Grounds for Processing

5.1. Data is processed to provide the forecast and city selection, to operate and protect the service technically, to display advertising, to handle inquiries, and to comply with legal requirements.

5.2. The legal ground depends on the specific purpose: performance of the Terms of Use — for providing the requested functions; the Operator's legitimate interests — for diagnostics, security, and abuse prevention; a separate Consent — for advertising personalization; the legislation of the Russian Federation — for compliance with statutory obligations. A detailed breakdown of purposes, data, grounds, and retention periods is set out in Section 6 of the Personal Data Processing Rules.

6. Geolocation

6.1. Access to geolocation is requested through the operating system. The User may decline access and select a city manually.

6.2. Coordinates are used to determine the nearest supported city and to send the request to the MeteoCare.RU server. The Operator does not compile a history of movements. Coordinates may temporarily appear in technical logs until they are rotated.

6.3. The device's coordinates are not transmitted to the advertising SDK or to advertising-infrastructure participants. The use of location data for ad targeting has been disabled by the Operator programmatically using the advertising SDK's built-in tools.

7. Advertising and the Yandex Mobile Ads SDK

7.1. The Yandex Mobile Ads SDK of YANDEX LLC (Russian: ООО «ЯНДЕКС») is used to monetize the Application.

7.2. The User is given a separate choice between personalized and non-personalized advertising. Personalization is permitted only after a separate, active consent. The selected mode is transmitted to the advertising SDK when the Application starts.

7.3. If Consent is not given or is withdrawn, non-personalized advertising is displayed. For its delivery, frequency capping, security, and the recording of advertising events, the advertising SDK may continue processing a limited set of technical data.

7.4. The device's coordinates are not transmitted to YANDEX LLC or advertising-infrastructure participants via the advertising SDK.

7.5. Data obtained by the advertising SDK directly from the device is subsequently processed by the relevant advertising-infrastructure participants in accordance with the documents and legal grounds applicable to them.

8. Data Operations and Processing Methods

8.1. The Operator may carry out the collection, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, updating, retrieval, use, disclosure to specific persons, anonymization, blocking, deletion, and destruction of personal data.

8.2. Server-side processing is carried out by automated means. Support inquiries may be handled by mixed means, including processing without the use of automation tools.

8.3. Personal data is not disseminated to an indefinite group of persons without separate consent to dissemination or another lawful basis.

9. Data Recipients

9.1. To the extent necessary, data may be disclosed to:

• YANDEX LLC and advertising-infrastructure participants — in connection with the operation of the Yandex Mobile Ads SDK, without transmitting the device's precise or approximate coordinates;
• providers of server, network, and technical infrastructure — for the operation of the API, storage of technical logs, backup of server systems, and security;
• email service providers — for receiving and handling support inquiries;
• authorized government bodies and other persons — in cases provided for by law.

9.2. The provisions on data-processing assignment apply to providers of server, network, technical, and email infrastructure. They receive only the data necessary for the relevant service and are required to comply with confidentiality and security requirements. The processing of data by YANDEX LLC and advertising-infrastructure participants is carried out in accordance with the applicable contractual terms, their own documents, and their legal grounds.

10. Data Localization and Cross-Border Transfer

10.1. The initial recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, updating, and retrieval of the personal data of citizens of the Russian Federation received by the MeteoCare.RU server are carried out using databases located within the territory of the Russian Federation.

10.2. The Operator does not itself carry out any cross-border transfer of MeteoCare.RU server data. If such a transfer becomes necessary in the future, the mandatory procedures will be completed and the applicable documents updated before it begins.

11. Retention Periods and Cessation of Processing

11.1. Technical request logs are generally retained for no more than 90 calendar days. If an incident is identified, records related to it may be retained until the investigation is completed and mandatory requirements are fulfilled.

11.2. Request statistics linked to the installation UUID are retained for no more than 12 months from the date of the corresponding installation's last activity, after which the UUID is deleted or the statistics are anonymized.

11.3. Records confirming that Consent to personalized advertising was given or withdrawn may be retained for up to three years after withdrawal or the last event related to the application of the Consent, to confirm compliance with legal requirements and to protect the Operator's rights.

11.4. Support inquiries are retained until their handling is completed and, generally, for no more than three years after the last interaction.

11.5. The retention periods for data processed by advertising-infrastructure participants are determined by the documents applicable to them. Diary entries are stored on the device until deleted by the User or by operating system tools.

12. User Rights and Settings Management

12.1. The User is entitled to obtain information about the processing, to request that data be updated, blocked, or deleted in cases provided for by law, to appeal the Operator's actions, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests.

12.2. Consent to personalized advertising is withdrawn by changing the advertising mode in the Application's settings. The geolocation permission is changed using operating system tools. Diary entries and other local data are deleted using the tools of the Application or the device.

12.3. General inquiries regarding the processing of personal data should be sent to info@1294studio.ru or to the Operator's postal address and are handled in the manner established by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

13. Security

13.1. The Operator applies restrictions on administrative and network access, individual credentials, HTTPS/TLS, a secure connection between server components, control of available API methods, request-rate limiting, event logging, software updates, backup of server systems, and other necessary measures.

13.2. The User is responsible for the security of their device, system account, backup copies, exported files, and permission settings.

14. Minors and the Nature of Recommendations

14.1. The Application is intended for persons who have reached 18 years of age. The Operator does not knowingly request age information and does not purposefully collect the personal data of persons under 18 years of age.

14.2. Weather recommendations and the wellbeing diary do not constitute medical diagnosis, a medical device, or a substitute for consultation with a medical professional.

15. Changes to the Policy

15.1. The Operator is entitled to update the Policy when the law, the Application's architecture, or the set of connected services changes. Material changes are communicated to the User before they take effect. If changes affect processing based on Consent, a new Consent is obtained before the corresponding processing begins.
